Unlike most people, it took Dr Michelle a long time to figure out what she wanted to do in life. After 6 years of undergraduate studies (Biology and Geology) and 3 different universities, she decided that she wanted to be a veterinarian. 4 years later (flashback 2004), Dr Michelle graduated from the Atlantic College of Veterinary Medicine in Charlottetown, PEI. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Barrie where she met her now husband, Chris, a Bradford boy. You can bring the East Coaster to Ontario but you can never shake the East Coast out and the family loves to travel back “home” to Cape Breton.
As if life with two toddlers and a bunch of animals wasn’t busy enough, Dr Michelle and Chris decided to open a practice in Bradford in 2012. You may occasionally catch a glimpse of Chris and their now grown daughters, Sophie and Alexandra, helping out at the practice. When she is not busy carting the kids to their activities or at work, you may find her outdoors engaging in her favorite activities: camping, cross country skiing, hiking, filling her birdfeeders or gardening, or she might be in the kitchen trying out new recipes or maybe curled up with Mojo, a tea (or a glass of red wine) and a good book. See if you can guess if the scratches on her arms are from thorny things or clawed critters…
The family is blessed to share their lives with Poppy the Rottweiler, Mojo the cat, many fish, 5 laying hens, a rooster named Mr. Cuckles and a corn snake named Willow.
Dr Michelle is passionate about continuing education and is certified in veterinary acupuncture, western veterinary herbal medicine and is currently working on her Chinese Veterinary Medicine herbal certification.
Dr. Becky has always had a love for all living creatures and knew by the age of 11 that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She grew up with a variety of family pets including dogs, cats, rats and guinea pigs. Many summer family camping trips brought her closer to wildlife and Dr. Becky could not wait to catch a frog or snake to take a closer look, or rescue a worm or slug off the trail path!
In order to gain the experience she would need to get into vet school, Dr. Becky volunteered at the SPCA, secured a part time job at a small animal clinic and milked dairy cows on the weekends. In 2006, Dr. Becky’s lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian came true when she graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph. One of the many highlights of her time at OVC was the opportunity to travel to South America as part of the Global Vets program, where she volunteered her time assisting with rural spay/neuter clinics.
After graduation, Dr. Becky spent the first 10 years of her career as an associate veterinarian at a small animal hospital in Mississauga. As her family grew, she and her husband decided to relocate and settled in Bradford.
Dr. Becky joined Holland Street Veterinary Services in 2016 where she continues to enjoy working in the community that she and her family are part of. As a general practitioner, Dr. Becky enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine including internal medicine, preventative care and soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Becky and her family own a rescued epileptic English Springer Spaniel named Jax, and a canary named Ginger. When not working, Dr. Becky is busy chauffeuring her kids to their sports and extracurricular activities. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, ice skating and spending time with her family.
Loren has been at Holland Street Veterinary Services since day once and couldn’t imagine her life anywhere else. She loves the growth in the clinic over the years. Loren started her vet career as a receptionist and now you can see her as the Office Manager.
Her favourite clinic moments are having a deep conversation with a talkative German Shepherd or Husky, and a Basset Hound that hasn’t quite grown into their ears yet. She also enjoys getting the stink eye from the Fred the clinic cat anytime she is caught snuggling another feline friend.
Loren had completely fell in love with Ginny our newest clinic cat and enjoys rubbing her belly at reception.
Loren Currently does not have pets after the loss of her beloved German Shepherd Tucker. However, she has recently picked up the hobby of birding and shares her backyard with Cardinals, Blue Jays and even a Chickadee named Chuck.
Loren shares her home with her husband, daughter, and son. If she isn’t at work, the dance studio, or the baseball diamond you will always find her at any Florida theme park, a cruise ship or a tropical beach.

Lisa joined the Holland Street Vet team back in the fall of 2021, coming to us with a number of years experience in the emergency and critical care’ field, having worked previously at a VEC near by for just over 6 years. This was her first foray into the world of regular practice and it has been nothing but a great experience.
Lisa looks forward to continuing to grow with all the wonderful friends she’s made at this clinic. Lisa graduated from Brock University in 2013 with a degree in Biological Sciences then went on to graduate, with honours, from the Veterinary Technician program at Sheridan College in 2015. She has maintained her registered (RVT) status ever since.
In her spare time she loves relaxing by watching Netflix, crystal
shopping or doing little art projects – that is of course when she’s not having to tend to her feline fur baby Elsa’s every need (in the form of lengthy cuddles that take up most of her time) - obviously worth it
though.
Karren has joined our team with over 35 years experience in regular & emergency practices. The human animal bond has played a significant role in her execution in the medical & esthetics (grooming) fields. She called Innisfil home in 1988 & raised three sons and now is enjoying the interaction with the second generation. Her home environment houses two cats & two dogs. Passtimes include card & board games, jigsaw puzzles, sudoku, grooming, gardening, & enjoying nature.

She joined the Holland Street Vet team in November 2020 and has never looked back. She can be found part of the time working reception and the rest of the time in our exam rooms assisting with your pets. She is Certified Cat Friendly and is trained in a Fear Free approach to pet handling. She is a bonafide member of the Enchanted Cat Lady Club and is a cat mom to 4 beautiful kitties at home aged 4 - 15 years old. Tianna has always loved animals and has been in the veterinary industry from a very young age. She officially got her foot in the door from a high school co-op and has been a part of the field ever since. After working for a few years in clinic and at a doggie daycare, Tianna went on to graduate with honours from the Veterinary Assistant program at Seneca College in 2019.
Since then, she not only has worked in regular veterinary practices, but she has also worked in an emergency/referral facility, and a wildlife sanctuary. Tianna shares her home with a parakeet named Norbert, and two fluffy ginger feline companions. A main coon named Ezra, and the newest addition Cassian. Tianna loves all animal friends, including exotics, but her favourite visitors at the clinic are the bully breeds.
If Tianna is not at the reception desk with her fellow gingers Ginny and Fred or in an exam room assisting one of the Doctors, you can find her hopelessly and longingly waiting for her favourite group BTS to do a Canadian tour.
Kathleen is a second year Vet Tech student at Seneca College. Kathleen has been passionate about nature and animals from a young age, from exploring the outdoors while camping growing up and catching frogs, to always having pets in the home she developed a love for animals. It wasn’t until losing her childhood best friend, Riley, a golden retriever that she realized she wanted to make it her passion to help and care for animals and decided to make it her goal to become an RVT.
In her down time she enjoys painting and drawing as well as creative writing and professional photography. She loves curling up with a book and her little calico cat, Athena on her lap and a hot tea in her hand.
You’ll be sure to find Kat greeting you and your pet with a big smile when you walk through HSVS door.
